Step 1: You send the brief (once)
Email info@backlink.services with three things: your website, the plan you want, and the pages you want links to point at. Anchor text preferences are welcome but optional, and it helps to say which market matters most to you, the US, the UK, or both. You get a reply within one business day confirming the scope and carrying the first invoice. There is no discovery call, no proposal deck, and no contract beyond the monthly plan itself. Payment clears, and the first month starts.
Step 2: We build story angles and pitch journalists
Before any pitch goes out, we work out what your business can credibly say to the press: data you hold, expert comment your team can give, angles on stories journalists are already covering. Then we build a media list specific to your campaign: journalists and editors at real US and UK publications and news sites whose beats overlap with your pages, sitting in the DA/DR 40 to 95 authority range, with genuine search traffic and indexed pages. The publisher pool includes names like Business Insider, Metro, and Yahoo Finance, alongside hundreds of niche and regional titles. Sites built to sell links, lower-tier blogs, and marketplace inventory never make the list, at any price. What we accept and reject is documented on the link quality page.
Then the pitching begins: individual emails to each journalist, framed around why your story or comment makes their next article better. That framing is the difference between PR and spam, and it is why the links that come back are worth having. In month two and beyond, angles refresh from what worked, what the press is covering, and anything new your business can say.
Step 3: Journalists pick stories up, links go live across the month
Responses arrive on the journalist's schedule, not ours. Some pick a story up in a day, some take three weeks, and some pass. As each yes turns into a published article, your link goes into real page content where the publisher decides it fits. The publisher also controls final wording and link attributes, which is the honest version of how this industry works. We explain what that means for dofollow status on the dofollow backlinks page.
This is why delivery spreads across the month rather than arriving as a single dump on day one. A month of links that lands overnight was not earned from a newsroom. It was pulled off a shelf.
Step 4: You get every URL, and the month settles against the minimum
Each placement is reported to you with its exact URL as it goes live. Open it, read the article, check the link, log it in your own tracker. At the end of the month, the count settles against your plan's guaranteed minimum. Months regularly finish above it, because one strong story can be picked up several times. If a month finishes below it, the shortfall carries forward and is delivered the following month on top of that month's count, at no extra charge. Every delivered link then carries 90 days of replacement cover from its delivery date, detailed on the guarantees page.
What we need from you: almost nothing
After the brief, your involvement is optional. You do not approve media lists, join status calls, or chase anyone. Some clients want to review angles or anchors before pitching starts, and we accommodate that on request. Everyone else just watches the URLs arrive. That is the point of done-for-you: you brief, we pitch.
Two things help. If someone on your team can give a quote as a named expert, tell us, because expert input opens doors that cold pitches cannot. And keep your target pages live. If you restructure your site mid-campaign, tell us so links point at the right URLs.
